Yang – style long form Tai Chi Chaun, also known as tai chi, is a martial art that has been refined into a series of slow, graceful, rhythmic exercises designed to increase a person’s health by stimulating the circulation throughout the body, improving balance and calming the mind.

Anne has studied with Master Kai Ying Tung’s school and instructors since 1995. Quoting master Tung: “The goal is not to demonstrate strength, power or violence. The goal is to attain serenity, tranquility, and the discovery of ones self.”

Come Paint your Snowmen group

Hey everyone!! Let’s get together and paint this wonderful Snowman group. We will serve some cheese and wine (and other non-alcoholic beverages). Never painted before? Then this group is for YOU! I will guide you step by step in painting, through this class. You will definitely bring out your inner artist! Its a guaranteed RELAXING fun night out! The classes I teach are typically $30 per person (or you bring your own canvas and paint and you only pay $20 per person).  You will have to pay in advance to reserve a seat. If you pay the $30, I provide everything you need: canvas, paint, brushes, easels, music and inspiration…. Just bring yourself, your friends, and yes, you may bring your own wine if you like and snacks. So, let the Paint Party begin! “Paint & Sip” parties are all the rage these days. This year at CarnageCon you can grab some of this fun and express your talent by painting a delightful picture of “Love Birds”. Second Dance Night a Big Winner

This Saturday, the 12th of July, we held our second Dance Night, and it was a great success!   Several VIP badge holders made another appearance, and we saw many new faces as well.  I taught the Charleston Cowboy, and Tina taught the Shot Gun Jenny line dances.  Then Thomas and I taught a modified version of the Horseshoe Shuffle, and just a touch of East Coast Swing.

Don’t forget, there’s still time to sign up for our Waltz class starting on the 15th of July!

Grand Opening a Smash Success!

We had a fantastic time last Saturday night at our Grand Opening, with over 40 people in attendance!
But we’re not resting on our laurels.  Here’s what’s happening in the near future at 2 Flights Up!
We are going to start our weekly beginners’ line dance classes on Monday the 7th of July from 6:00  to 7:30 p.m. Classes are $5.00 (VIP $4.00 a class).
Anyone interested in game night?  That will be starting on July 10th. It will be every Thursday starting at 6 p.m. and going to about 10 p.m.  You can learn new “euro”-style board games and american style games.   These aren’t your parents’ board games!  Come and see what this growing hobby is all about!
Our next dance night is on July 12th and we hope to see you there!
On July 15th, we’ll be starting our couples’ country waltz classes.  They will go for 4 weeks through August 5th at 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.  Cost is $40 pp (VIP $36.00) or couples $70.00 (VIP $66.00)
We are also going to host a weekly youth line dance class starting Monday the 21st of July. If you know any youth that might want to learn to line dance, please send them our way. 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Cost  is $4.00 a class.
When we finish our Country Waltz class, we’ll be rolling right into 4 Weeks of couples’ country two-step classes, starting on August 12th and going through September 2nd.  The time is 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.  Cost is $40 pp (VIP $36.00) or couples $70.00 (VIP $66.00)
We also give private dance lessons for weddings or special occasions and we do rent out the space for kids birthday party’s, yoga classes etc.

Doors open 5:00 p.m.
Beginners step by step line dance class at 5:30
Intermediate step by step line dance class at 6:30
Couples basic Two-Step dance instruction at 7:30
Couples new Two-Step move instruction at 8:30

Free dancing all night.
Bring your own drinks and snacks; learn new dances and enjoy the evening with like minded dancers.
